Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Program Supplier Assurance Engineer (PSQE) to serve as the primary quality interface with programs and supplier assurance teams. The role involves extensive onsite supplier assessments, first article inspection verification, and problem resolution, with a heavy emphasis on Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.

This position is remote, with travel requirements to Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and other Midwest states to support supplier assessments and audits.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering.
• Experience with quality management standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, AS9103, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.
• Experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
• Experience implementing QA/Control methodologies such as SPC, APQP, and Continuous Improvement in a supplier setting.
• Experience generating and presenting briefs to leadership and suppliers.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flow down of product requirements to internal and sub-tier suppliers.
• Interpret and explain requirements to ensure supplier understanding and compliance.
• Drive continuous product/process improvements by identifying supplier risks and solutions.
• Apply APQP processes related to supplier performance and improvements.
• Perform defect data analysis to develop supplier improvement plans.
• Lead multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement.
• Identify supplier risk and develop mitigation plans to reduce defects.
• Support containment activities for discrepant material.
• Drive supplier corrective action processes and communicate resolutions.
• Represent quality during review boards covering changes and qualifications.
