Job summary

ICF International is seeking a Substation P&C Designer to work on relay, protection, and control projects for high voltage substations from 12kV to 500kV, fully remote in the US. The role reports to the Electrical Project Lead within ICF Power Delivery Services.

You will design protection drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and SCADA diagrams, collaborating with lead engineers and vendors while ensuring QA/QC compliance and applying NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with substation (transmission) design.
• 3+ years of detailed wiring design experience (single lines, schematics, relay panels).
• Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor, and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare Protection & Control drawings: One/Three line diagrams.
• Create AC/DC schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams and cable schedules.
• Develop SCADA and communication diagrams; coordinate with drafting and settings teams.
• Incorporate vendor information and apply client standards to deliverables.
• Support QA/QC processes and continuously improve engineering knowledge.
