Job summary

ICF is seeking a Substation P&C Designer to work on relay and protection and control projects for high voltage substations (12kV–500kV) under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead. This remote role emphasizes delivering detailed drawings and diagrams while ensuring quality and client standards.

Coordination with drafting, vendor data, and continuous professional development are key. Minimum qualifications include an AA or HS diploma and 3+ years of wiring design experience with Bluebeam,

Qualifications

AA or High School Diploma is required.
3+ years of detailed wiring design experience for substations.
Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor, and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

Design and prepare Protection and Control drawings including substation relay one lines and three lines.
Create AC/DC schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams and cable schedules.
Develop SCADA and communications diagrams and coordinate with drafting and vendor information.
Follow client standards and perform QA/QC on all design packages.
Continuously improve engineering knowledge and performance.
