Job summary

ICF is seeking a Substation P&C Designer to work on relay and protection and control projects for high voltage substations from 12kV to 500kV under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead.

This remote US role involves producing relay and wiring diagrams, panel layouts, SCADA and communication diagrams, and coordinating with drafting and other disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• AA or High School Diploma.
• Experience with substation (transmission) design.
• 3+ years of detailed wiring design experience, developing single lines, schematics and relay panels.
• 3+ years of experience working with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor, and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Substation Relay One Lines and Three Lines.
• AC/DC Schematics.
• Substation Panel Layouts.
• Substation Wiring Diagram and Cable Schedule.
• SCADA and Communication Diagrams.
• Point to Point Wiring Diagrams.
• Coordination with physical, settings, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
• Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
• Apply client standards related to the work.
• Perform/ensure company's QA/QC processes are followed on all design packages.
• Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.
