Job summary

Power Engineering Services, a Quanta Services Company, is seeking a Protection & Control Designer to join our growing team. You will design protection and control packages for high-voltage substations and support project delivery from concept to construction.

The role requires an associate degree and 6+ years of experience with 15kV–345kV projects, plus proficiency in AutoCAD. Join a collaborative team delivering critical utility infrastructure across the region.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in protection and control design for utility substations.
• Experience designing substations ranging from 15kV through 345kV.
• Working knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, and utility design standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; MicroStation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive protection and control design packages for high-voltage substations.
• Design auxiliary systems and coordinate with engineers and other disciplines.
• Provide technical support during construction and respond to field questions.
• Deliver quality work while meeting project schedules and client expectations.
