Job summary

ICF is seeking a Substation P&C Drafting Technician to support substation protection and control projects. You will create and modify CAD drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, following established CAD standards, while working remotely from Puerto Rico.

The role involves developing single-line diagrams, schematics, and elementaries, organizing project files, and assisting with quality checks and basic CAD support. Strong self-motivation and ability to work from home are important.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in CAD/Drafting, Engineering Technology, or relevant CAD Certifications (or equivalent).
• 0-1 years of drafting experience; entry-level with strong training considered.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD applications and basic design principles.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify CAD drawings of substations based on engineer sketches or specs.
• Produce one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, three-line diagrams, and panel front views.
• Prepare construction and demo drawing packages adhering to project standards.
• Perform quality checks on final drawings and layouts.
• Organize project drawing files and schedules; maintain CAD archives.
• Support engineers with shop drawing reviews and project coordination.
