Job summary

ICF is seeking a Substation P&C Designer to work on relay and protection and control projects for high voltage substations (12kV–500kV) under the Electrical Project Lead. This REMOTE role offers the chance to contribute to innovative utility solutions while collaborating with a client-focused team.

Responsibilities include designing protection drawings, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, SCADA diagrams, and coordinating with multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• AA or High School Diploma.
• 3+ years of detailed wiring design experience for substations.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Inventor, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare Protection and Control Drawings for Substations (One Lines, Three Lines, AC/DC Schematics).
• Create Substation Panel Layouts and Wiring Diagrams with Cable Schedules.
• Develop SCADA and Communication diagrams and Point-to-Point wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate with disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
• Incorporate vendor information into designs and apply client standards.
• Support QA/QC processes and continuous engineering knowledge improvement.
