Job summary

ICF is seeking a Substation P&C Drafting Technician to support Substation Protection and Control (P&C) projects. The role involves creating and modifying CAD drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation, following CAD standards, while working remotely for US projects.

You will contribute to single-line diagrams, schematics, and elementaries, organize project files, and assist with QA checks. Strong basic drafting knowledge and willingness to work from home are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or associate degree in CAD/Engineering Tech or CAD certs.
• 0-1 years of drafting experience; entry-level accepted with training.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar; basic design or modeling skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify CAD drawings of substations from sketches or specifications provided by our engineers.
• Drawings including one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, three-line diagrams.
• Prepare construction and demo drawing packages per project standards.
• Assist with quality checks on final drawings and layouts.
• Maintain CAD archives and organize project drawings.
