Job summary

ICF is seeking a Substation P&C Drafting Technician to support Substation Protection and Control (P&C) projects. You will create and modify CAD drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, following established CAD standards from a remote Puerto Rico location.

The ideal candidate has CAD fundamentals, can organize project files, perform quality checks, and assist with project coordination, all while working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in CAD/Drafting, Engineering Technology, or CAD Certifications.
• 0-1 years of drafting experience; entry-level with strong training considered.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify CAD drawings of substations based on engineers' sketches.
• Prepare one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams.
• Organize project files and maintain CAD archives.
• Support shop drawing reviews and project coordination.
• Ensure drawings meet project standards and quality checks.
