Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Project Engineer to contribute to design and execution of substation physical and protection & control projects. You will work within a design team of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians, interfacing with clients to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.

The role requires reading and creating one-line and three-line drawings, BOMs, and estimates, plus occasional site visits. Remote work with occasional travel is available for US-based candidates in CST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 4+ years of substation design experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and work both independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and P&C design projects from scoping to final design.
• Read and create one-line and three-line drawings, schematics, wiring, plans, sections, conduit, grounding.
• Create and check BOMs, estimates and schedules; perform design quality control.
• Collaborate with client standards and work with a designer/drafter to produce required drawings.
• Support construction and occasional site visits as needed.
