Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Design Engineer to join a design team responsible for delivering substation physical and protection/control design projects. You will read, create, and check one-line, three-line, and related drawings, ensuring conformance with client standards and NEC minimums.

Occasional site visits and collaboration at the Framingham office are expected. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering and 8+ years of related experience, with strong communication,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related degree with eight (8+) or more years of related substation design experience.
Demonstrate Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with the internal team and clients to meet project needs.
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure situations.
Collaborator and leader who can work effectively in team environment.
Self-starter who works independently with minimal direction.
Strong analytical skills and proven problem solver in both team and independent environments.

Responsibilities

Complete Project Lifecycle Support from Scoping to Final Design and Implementation.
Applying the Minimum Requirements of the National Electrical Safety Code to the Design Processes
Working with Client Standards to Implement Design.
Working with a Designer/Drafter to Create the Required Drawings for Each Project.
Construction and occasional site visits as needed.
