Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer II, Substation for a fully remote role focused on leading the preliminary substation design lifecycle for utility-scale solar, BESS, and interconnection projects.

You will own the 10% design, review client documents, coordinate with engineering and procurement, and ensure alignment of design assumptions with estimates and schedules. Requires 3+ years in electrical substation design and proficiency in AutoCAD or ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in electrical substation engineering.
• Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD or ETAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preliminary substation design and 10% design deliverables.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align scope, schedule and costs.
• Review client documents and identify requirements, risks and open items.
