Job summary

Powerserve Technologies is seeking a Substation Design Engineer (Civil/Structural) to join our remote Florida team. You will design civil and structural components for electrical substations, coordinating with electrical engineers and project teams to deliver constructible, code-compliant designs.

The role emphasizes foundation design, site development, and field support within Florida. A PE is preferred, and licensure within 2–3 years is expected if not already held; strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in civil/structural design (substation or utility experience not required but strongly preferred).
• Proficiency with engineering design tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, or similar).
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, foundations, and site development.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in an EPC/project-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop civil and structural components of electrical substations.
• Prepare and review foundation designs, structural layouts, and site grading plans.
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and code compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Collaborate with clients, utilities, and permitting agencies.
