Job summary

Powerserve Technologies in Florida is seeking a Substation Design Engineer (Civil/Structural) for a remote, full-time role in the EPC industry. You will focus on civil/structural design for substations and collaborate with electrical engineers and project teams.

The role requires a bachelor's in civil or structural engineering and 3+ years' experience, proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and STAAD, and the ability to coordinate across disciplines. PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or related field (Required).
• 3+ years of experience in civil/structural design (substation or utility experience preferred).
• Proficiency with design tools: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD or similar.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, foundations, and site development; cross-functional EPC teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design civil and structural components of electrical substations.
• Prepare and review foundation designs, structural layouts, and site drainage plans.
• Perform engineering calculations, code reviews, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders; provide field support when needed.
