Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a DCS Engineer to support Substation Automation projects, delivering technical execution from conception through detailed design. You will drive multi‑protocol IED integration, SAS troubleshooting, and design reviews while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will coordinate with cross‑functional teams, support customer demos and pilots, and travel up to 30% across the U.S. and Canada. A strong background in SAS, DCS, and cybersecurity is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years designing, testing, troubleshooting, and delivering Substation Automation Systems (SAS).
• Experience presenting solutions and leading customer discussions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute studies for automation projects: strategy, DCS design, BoM, man-hour estimates, risk mitigation.
• Develop design docs, engineering calculations, DCS configurations, IED selections.
• Lead design reviews and customer technical discussions, ensuring timely approvals.
• Design augmentation solutions integrating with existing systems.
• Coordinate with teams, suppliers, and partners for FAT, site issues, and testing.
