Job summary
Jobot is seeking a Controls Engineer with strong Distributed Control System (DCS) experience to support regional automation projects in the US Southeast. The role offers a remote-friendly setup with requirement to reside in VA, NC, or SC for local support and travel.
You will design, configure, and support DCS systems across Foxboro, DeltaV, and Honeywell platforms, driving upgrades and modernization efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of DCS programming experience.
- Experience with Foxboro preferred; DeltaV and Honeywell platforms also valued.
- Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement DCS programming solutions for process control applications.
- Configure and support Foxboro, DeltaV, and Honeywell control platforms.
- Participate in control system upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
- Perform testing, validation, startup, and commissioning activities.
- Train plant personnel on system functionality and best practices.
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, operators, and maintenance teams to improve performance.
