Job summary

Grand Canyon Education is looking for a Student Services Counselor to guide online students in degree requirements, course selection and financing. The role blends remote work with in-person elements at times, including two days onsite in Phoenix and new-hire training across three weeks.

You’ll leverage excellent communication and problem-solving to help students succeed, coordinating with admissions and other departments to keep learners progressing toward graduation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Outstanding customer service, organization and time management skills.
• Clear communication skills.
• Self-motivation and drive to succeed.
• High emotional intelligence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with CRM tools is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Counsel continuing students on policy, progression and payment options, ensuring timely progression.
• Counsel prospective students via phone/email and promote program success.
• Advise on accreditation policies and course start dates to support graduation timelines.
• Maintain positive student relationships and support enrollment objectives.
• Monitor metrics from End of Course Surveys and optimize customer service.
• Collaborate with Cohort Director and other departments to optimize site resources.
