Job summary

ABB in the US Electrification Smart Buildings division seeks a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for data centers and critical manufacturing facilities. You will work with Strategic Account Sales Managers to drive Inquiry to Order with high-probability, high-profitability projects, leveraging ABB's product portfolio.

This remote role allows travel 2–3 times a year and requires a strong technical background, 10+ years in electrical distribution, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum 10 years in electrical distribution or related industry; at least 5 years in sales and project quotations.
Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution products and ABB empower.
Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large projects.
Experience collaborating with global and local cross functional teams and senior management.
Ability to use electronic tools remotely (Outlook, Salesforce, Teams).
Travel up to 2–3 times a year.
Must have US work authorization.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with SAMs and Strategic Customers to understand CTQ factors essential for growth.
Organizing and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
Develop innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product portfolio and propose cost-saving alternatives.
Evaluate project risk triggers and align with ABB standards; lead risk reviews with leadership.
