Job summary

ABB is seeking a seasoned Strategy & M&A professional to support NAM DS strategic planning and inorganic growth initiatives. The role emphasizes market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven storytelling for executive reviews.

Remote work is available within the US, with preference for those in Eastern or Central time zones. You will lead external market research, build sizing models, and support M&A workflows, due diligence, and integration planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of combined professional experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, investment banking, or related analytical role.
• Proficient in PowerPoint; ability to build clean, well-structured, data-driven slides suitable for senior management audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise summaries.
• Some exposure to M&A research, due diligence, or corporate development activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strategy Research & Planning Support (Primary - 75%): conduct external market research, build market-sizing models, create competitive benchmarks, and prepare executive materials.
• M&A Project Assistance (Secondary - 25%): support target research, due diligence data gathering, and pipeline/tracker maintenance.
