Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a HB Coding Strategic Data Analyst to transform complex coding and revenue cycle data into actionable insights across our hospital coding operations. You will build dashboards, KPIs, and reports to support leadership decisions, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance coding quality and financial performance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of data analytics experience.
• Working knowledge of KPI management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions.
• Epic and computer-assisted coding technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary analytics resource for Coding Leadership transforming data into insights for strategic decisions.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and reports related to productivity, AR, budgets, and workflow outcomes on multiple cadences.
• Analyze coding and revenue data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership and teams.
• Translate findings into clear reports and visualizations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and support reporting needs.
• Utilize Epic, CAC, Power BI, and reporting tools to evaluate system functionality and validate business requirements.
• Coordinate coding technology activities, document workflows, and support upgrades and testing.
• Lead reporting, technology, and improvement initiatives using project management principles.
