Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a HB Coding Strategic Data Analyst to transform coding and revenue cycle data into actionable insights. You will develop dashboards, KPIs, and routine reports, guiding leadership decisions and ensuring data-driven performance across hospital coding operations.

This role emphasizes collaboration with coding leadership, technology teams, and stakeholders, leveraging Epic, CAC, and Power BI to optimize workflows and support organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in health information management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of data analytics experience and knowledge of KPI management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel; Epic and CAC tooling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary analytics resource for Coding Leadership transforming data into actionable insights.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, KPIs, and routine/ad hoc reports.
• Analyze coding and revenue cycle data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; provide recommendations.
• Translate findings into clear reports and visuals for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and support reporting needs.
• Utilize Epic, CAC, Power BI, and MS tools to evaluate systems and validate requirements.
• Coordinate coding technology activities, document workflows, and support upgrades.
• Lead and support reporting, technology, and improvement initiatives with project management.
