Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a remote HB Coding Strategic Data Analyst to transform complex coding data into actionable insights that drive performance, compliance, and strategic decisions across hospital billing coding operations.

You will develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs, analyze revenue cycle data, and collaborate with stakeholders using Epic, CAC, Power BI, and Microsoft tools to optimize operations and financial stewardship.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in health information management, Health Informatics, or related field or equivalent education and experience.
3 years of data analytics experience and knowledge of KPI management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions; experience with Epic and CAC technology.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary analytics resource for Coding Leadership transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, routine reports, and ad hoc analyses related to productivity, quality, AR, budgets, vendor performance, and workflow outcomes.
Analyze coding and revenue cycle data to identify trends, risks, variances, and improvement opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
Translate analytical findings into clear reports and visualizations for stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and support reporting needs.
