Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a HB Coding Strategic Data Analyst to transform coding and revenue cycle data into actionable insights. You will develop dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs to monitor productivity, quality, and financial performance across Hospital Billing Coding operations.

The role emphasizes collaboration, Epic/CAC tooling, and continuous improvement, with a 100% remote work arrangement. You will partner with coding leadership to identify trends, optimize workflows, and support

Qualifications

Associate degree in health information management or health informatics, or equivalent education and experience.
3 years of data analytics experience with KPI management and advanced Excel.
Epic and CAC technology experience and proficiency with reporting tools.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary analytics resource for Coding Leadership, turning data into actionable insights.
Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and routine/ad hoc reports.
Analyze coding and revenue cycle data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities with actionable recommendations.
Translate analytical findings into clear reports and visualizations for leadership and stakeholders.
Collaborate with stakeholders to support reporting needs and optimize workflows.
Utilize Epic, CAC, Power BI, and MS tools to evaluate functionality and validate requirements.
Document workflows and coordinate Epic/CAC upgrades and testing.
Lead reporting and continuous improvement initiatives using project management principles.
