Block is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the go‑to‑market technology stack. You will architect and guide AI‑powered workflows that reduce manual sales work, while leading engineers toward high‑impact, reliable solutions.

In this role you will stay hands‑on across the stack, partner with Sales, Product, Data, and Engineering, and drive build‑versus‑buy tradeoffs with a strong ML/AI focus.

Competenze

• 12+ years of related experience with at least a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent.
• Experience setting technical direction and delivering complex systems across teams.
• Experience designing, building, and operating production software with AI/ML components.

Mansioni

• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and long-term evolution of the go-to-market tech stack.
• Design and operate production-grade AI agents and automated workflows for sales teams.
• Lead technical execution across initiatives, mentoring engineers and reviewing designs.
• Remain hands-on through prototyping, architecture, testing, and deployment.
• Translate business problems into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional partners.
• Establish patterns and guardrails for reliable, secure AI systems handling sensitive data.
• Define success measures using data and feedback to improve capabilities.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions and guide integrations with internal platforms and CRM.
