Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Staff Engineer, Mechanical Design who will lead the physical design of energy infrastructure products. You will act as the primary mechanical architect, shaping concepts into scalable, manufacturable enclosures and systems, while collaborating with Sales, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure customer requirements are realized.

You will drive design governance, perform robust calculations, oversee DFx initiatives, and guide field deployment with a focus on reliability

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field; 7–10+ years in mechanical design, power infrastructure or modular equipment.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling, design reviews, and DFx methods.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers to translate requirements into mechanical specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical scoping for proposals as the mechanical SME.
• Design and develop 3D mechanical concepts and enclosures using CAD and FEA/thermal tools.
• Drive design reviews, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing alignment; mentor junior engineers.
