Job summary

Celestica is seeking a versatile Solutions Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the physical design and development of our energy infrastructure portfolio. You will bridge early customer discovery and formal engineering execution, serving as the primary mechanical architect.

You will collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and engineering teams to translate complex customer requirements into scalable mechanical systems with structural integrity, thermal efficiency and grid integration.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering required.
• Experience in power infrastructure, modular equipment, or energy systems preferred.
• Strong CAD, FEA/thermal analysis and DFx capability.

Responsibilities

• Interface with prospective clients to interpret specifications and translate requirements into mechanical specs and ICDs.
• Lead technical scoping for proposals as SME and define executable scopes of work.
• Perform system trade-off analyses balancing performance, weight, cost, and manufacturability.
• Lead design reviews and ensure documentation standards across projects.
