Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role will perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, and assist the month-end close with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, while ensuring GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance and 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, with advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
