Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting activities. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with audits to ensure a timely close.

You will maintain audit-ready workpapers, analyze ledger activity for accuracy, and support monthly reporting and variance analysis. This is a remote role open to specified US states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 1–3 years accounting experience; month-end close preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel including pivots and lookups.
• Experience with an ERP or GL system; discretion with confidential data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, and recurring entries with proper support.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts; assist with auditors and provide schedules as needed.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and reconciliations per policy.
• Analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and correct posting errors.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis.
• Support ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager.
