Job summary

CrowdStrike seeks an Engineer II to manage Kubernetes clusters across data centers and cloud regions (AWS, GCP, OCI). You will keep clusters healthy, handle incidents, and automate repetitive tasks with Go or Python.

Collaborate with senior engineers and improve monitoring with Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, and Grafana. You will write tools, maintain runbooks, and contribute to design discussions while leveraging AI to optimize workflows and drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in infrastructure, systems, or platform engineering.
• At least 2 years running Kubernetes in production.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana.
• Programming or scripting in Go or Python; interest in Go.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or OCI.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Helm, or similar tools and with git.
• Willingness to be on call and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using AI tools in engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain large Kubernetes clusters in data centers and public cloud.
• Troubleshoot nodes, pods, networking, DNS, storage, and control plane; escalate when needed.
• Take shifts in on-call rotation and resolve incidents with the team.
• Perform planned changes like upgrades, add-ons, certificate rotation following change process.
• Build and tune alerts and dashboards in Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, Grafana.
• Write tools in Go or Python to automate repetitive tasks.
• Keep runbooks and documentation up to date.
• Apply AI tools to troubleshoot and automate daily work.
• Participate in design discussions to understand how the platform fits together.
• Show proven experience using AI to improve efficiency and outputs.
