Job summary

CrowdStrike is hiring an Engineer II to operate and maintain large Kubernetes clusters across data centers and public cloud in AWS, GCP, and OCI. In this role you will keep them healthy, work incidents, and automate the manual tasks that eat up the team's time.

You will work closely with senior engineers and grow your skills with Kubernetes and the tools we use to monitor it: Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in infrastructure, systems, or platform engineering.
• 2+ years running Kubernetes in production.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana.
• Programming or scripting in Go or Python.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or OCI.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Helm, or Git.
• Willingness to be on call.
• Experience using AI tools in engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain large Kubernetes clusters in data centers and public cloud.
• Troubleshoot nodes, pods, networking, DNS, storage, and control plane; escalate as needed.
• Take shifts in on-call rotation and resolve incidents.
• Perform planned changes like upgrades, add-ons, certificate rotation, capacity.
• Build and tune alerts and dashboards in Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, Grafana.
• Write Go or Python tools to automate repetitive work.
• Keep runbooks and documentation up to date.
• Join design discussions and learn how the wider platform fits together.
