Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. in the United States is hiring an Engineer II to run and scale the Falcon platform's Kubernetes clusters across data centers and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OCI). You will keep clusters healthy, respond to incidents, and automate repetitive tasks.

You will work with senior engineers, build dashboards with Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, Grafana, and write tools in Go or Python. A CJIS clearance eligibility, production Kubernetes experience, and on-call willingness are

Qualifications

• 3+ years in infrastructure, systems, or platform engineering, with at least 2 years running Kubernetes in production.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes workloads, services, networking, ingress, DNS, storage, and RBAC; troubleshoot with kubectl and logs.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana.
• Go or Python programming/scripting; interest in writing more Go.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or OCI.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Helm, or similar tools, and with Git.
• Willingness to be on call.
• Experience using AI tools in engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain large Kubernetes clusters in data centers and in public cloud.
• Troubleshoot nodes, pods, networking, DNS, storage, and the control plane; escalate as needed.
• Take on-call shifts and drive incidents through to resolution.
• Carry out planned changes like cluster/node upgrades, add-ons, cert rotation, and capacity expansion.
• Build and tune alerts and dashboards in Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, Grafana.
• Write tools in Go or Python to automate repetitive tasks.
• Keep runbooks and documentation up to date.
• Use AI tools to troubleshoot and automate daily work.
• Participate in design discussions to understand how the wider platform fits together.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision making and efficiency.
