Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineer II to operate the Kubernetes clusters behind the Falcon platform, including data centers and cloud regions (AWS, GCP, OCI). You will maintain health, handle incidents, and automate manual tasks with Go or Python, while collaborating with senior engineers to grow expertise in Kubernetes and related tooling.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in infrastructure, systems, or platform engineering with 2+ years running Kubernetes in production.
• Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes components (nodes, pods, networking, DNS, storage, RBAC) using kubectl and logs.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Grafana.
• Programming or scripting in Go or Python; interest in Go.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, OCI).
• Familiarity with Ansible, Terraform, Helm, or similar tools; Git proficiency.
• Willingness to be on call and use AI tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain large Kubernetes clusters across data centers and public clouds.
• Troubleshoot issues across nodes, pods, networking, DNS, storage, and control plane; escalate when needed.
• Take on-call shifts and resolve incidents in collaboration with the team.
• Perform planned changes like cluster/node upgrades and capacity additions following change processes.
• Build and tune alerts and dashboards in Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, Grafana.
• Develop Go or Python tools to automate repetitive tasks.
• Maintain runbooks and documentation; learn how the platform fits together.
• Apply AI tools in daily work to troubleshoot and automate.
