Job summary

Ladders seeks an Engineering Manager, Site Reliability to guide a team focused on stability, scalability, and performance for a high-traffic consumer tech platform. You will partner with engineering and stakeholders to set reliability standards, strengthen incident response, and drive automation and self-service initiatives.

Remote-first role for US-based candidates. Compensation ranges from $183,000 to $193,000 per year, with opportunities for growth and equity.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years in software or Site Reliability Engineering.
2+ years leading engineering teams.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of Site Reliability Engineers, setting goals and providing feedback.
Define technical direction for improving system reliability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish reliability standards and enhance user experience.
Drive incident management and operational excellence initiatives.
Promote automation and self-service tools to reduce operational toil.
Balance immediate operational needs with long-term strategic investments.
Communicate reliability risks and project statuses to stakeholders.
