Job summary

Lumicera Health Services, powered by Navitus, is seeking an Intake Specialist I for its specialty pharmacy team. The role centers on enrolling new patients and ensuring complete records, including demographics and payer details, are accurate for dispensing.

You will place calls to patients and coordinate with doctors via multiple channels, translating prescription data for the pharmacy system and assisting with prior authorizations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• National CPhT and/or registration/licensure as per residing state's requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled hours (8am–7pm Mon–Thu, 8am–6pm Fri).

Responsibilities

• Enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure their information is recorded (demographics, allergies, medication history, payer information).
• Place calls to patients and contact doctors/patients via fax, phone, or other means to coordinate care.
• Translate prescription information and other data to the pharmacy dispensing software.
• Assist providers and insurers with prior authorizations for patients in the specialty program.
• Support other areas in the facility as needed.
