Job summary

Lumicera Health Services, powered by Navitus, is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure their records include demographics, allergies, medication history, comorbidities, and payer information. The role requires calling patients and providers to coordinate intake and dispenses information for accurate records in the dispensing software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• National CPhT and/or state registration/licensure required per residing state's requirements.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including patient care management, copay assistance programs, and billing information.
• Thus, legal and ethical compliance is an essential duty of each employee.
• Translate prescription information and all other information obtained to dispense the medication into the pharmacy dispensing software.
• Assist providers and insurance companies in triaging prior authorizations for patients of the specialty pharmacy.
• May assist with pharmacy technician duties as needed.
