Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and maintain complete patient records. You will contact patients and prescribers, ensure accurate transfer of prescription information into dispensing software, and assist with prior authorizations.

Strong communication and attention to detail are essential. Work hours align with clinic/department needs, with remote options potentially available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• National CPhT and/or state licensure may be required depending on location.
• Minimum two years of pharmacy support or healthcare experience preferred.
• Hours: 8am–7pm Mon–Thu, 8am–6pm Fri; schedule may vary.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management and copay programs.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information for prescriptions.
• Manage assigned workflow queues and document information accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and ethical standards.
