Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Specialty Coder II for a remote role. The candidate must reside in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina and will assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes, audit documentation, and mentor other coders.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CCS, or CCS-P required.
• Minimum 2 years of coding experience.
• Minimum 1 year of medical office-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigns diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4.
• Audits physician documentation to assign CPT/diagnosis modifiers for anesthesia coding and billing.
• Mentors and trains other Specialty Coders; serves as a department resource.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
