Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an Anesthesia Specialty Coder II to assign diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4, audit physician documentation, and mentor other coders. This remote role requires residency in FL/GA/NC/SC and offers full-time hours with Mon-Fri shifts.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of coding experience, 1 year in medical office work, and CPC/CCS/CCS-P certification. Education should include a high school diploma; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of coding experience and 1 year in a medical office environment.
• Must be a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or CCS/CCS-P.
• Education includes High School or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 systems.
• Audit physician documentation to ensure accurate anesthesia CPT/diagnosis codes and modifiers.
• Mentor and train other Specialty Coders; act as a department resource.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
