Job summary

Iowa Specialty Hospital is seeking a Remote Specialty Clinic Call Center specialist to handle scheduling for multiple clinics and field patient inquiries from home. The role includes after-training remote work with in-person opportunities as needed.

The position is full-time with a Monday–Friday 7am–5pm schedule. Strong communication, scheduling, and EMR/EPIC experience are essential to deliver efficient call routing and message management.

Qualifications

• Ability to type and work within computer scheduling platforms.
• Excellent telephone and instant messaging etiquette; EPIC experience preferred.
• Proficient use of EMR with proper documentation and communication

Responsibilities

• This position will primarily work remotely with occasional in person. Excellent communication, organizational, computer, and telephone skills.
• Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling patient appointments for multiple clinics is required.
• Courteously receiving incoming telephone calls/instant messaging and taking messages as needed. Assists in managing provider and clinic scheduling templates.
• Maintains and initiates faxes and other means of electronic communications and forms.
• Routes all incoming calls.
