Job summary

Iowa Orthopedic Center is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to be the first voice for patients, handling incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and coordinating with clinics. The role is hybrid after onsite training and runs Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Prior experience in a call center environment preferred.
• Prior experience in healthcare or healthcare-related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of health insurance.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls using Polycom phone system.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments per physician/department requirements.
• Screen questions, route calls, and take messages when needed.
• Document communication and update patient records accurately.
