Job summary

University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City seeks a Clinic Services Specialist to perform and coordinate reception and scheduling, manage EPIC tasks, and collect payments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong communication skills, and 6 months of related experience; outpatient clinic experience and EPIC familiarity are highly desirable. Hybrid work within Iowa is available, with standard hours 7 AM–5 PM and some variability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• 6 months related experience required.
• Experience with Epic Optime is highly desirable.
• Experience with EPIC is desirable.
• Experience with scheduling is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointment scheduling and front desk operations.
• Obtain pre-authorizations and predeterminations for procedures.
• Provide patient access services and education on billing responsibilities.
• Assist with daily batching and reporting; support EPIC In basket tasks.
