Job summary

Markel seeks a Spanish bilingual Customer Service Representative I to be the first point of contact for insurance questions in a remote/hybrid setting. You will assist English- and Spanish-speaking customers, resolving inquiries while building trust and encouraging renewal business.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly in both languages, maintain a positive service attitude, and handle high call volumes with accuracy and efficiency. Training provided.

Qualifications

• This position does not require a Property & Casualty Insurance license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college is a plus!
• 1 or more years of prior customer service experience preferred
• Demonstrated job stability and attendance records
• Solid computer, grammar and multi‑tasking skills
• Comfort with a high‑volume service center.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a helpful, professional first point of contact for customers with insurance questions.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers in both English and Spanish.
• Work to resolve customer concerns on the first call whenever possible and elevate appropriately when needed.
