Job summary

Muon Space is offering a summer internship in its Legal team, fully remote in the United States. The role supports licensing, government contracting, export compliance, and corporate matters across NOAA, U.S. Space Force, and other customers.

1Ls and 2Ls are welcome; no prior space-law experience needed. As a Legal Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to regulatory policy, government contracts, and commercial space law while working with experienced attorneys and regulatory specialists.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a J.D. program (1Ls and 2Ls welcome).
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Genuine interest in space, technology, or government contracting.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain regulatory compliance matrices that track license conditions, reporting obligations, and procedures.
• Support the broader Legal and Contracts team with research and administrative work on commercial agreements, government contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
• Conduct legal, regulatory, and market research and synthesize findings into clear written summaries and recommendations.
• Assist with additional legal, corporate and regulatory projects as they come up, including filings, process documentation, and export-compliance recordkeeping.
