Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Legal Intern for a remote, full-time internship from May to September. Open to 1Ls and 2Ls; no prior space-law experience required.

You will work with our small but mighty Legal team on licensing, government contracts, export compliance, and regulatory policy, gaining hands-on exposure and real impact. The program emphasizes mentorship and practical learning in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a J.D. program (1Ls and 2Ls welcome).
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Genuine interest in space, technology, or government contracting.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain regulatory compliance matrices that track license conditions, reporting obligations, and procedures
• Support the broader Legal and Contracts team with research and administrative work on commercial agreements, government contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements
• Conduct legal, regulatory, and market research and synthesize findings into clear written summaries and recommendations
• Assist with additional legal, corporate and regulatory projects as they come up, including filings, process documentation, and export-compliance recordkeeping
