Job summary

F5 is seeking a seasoned Solutions Engineering Manager to lead the SE team within the F5 Tech vertical, focusing on technical sales and scalable org design. You will set objectives, guide performance, and ensure the team aligns with company goals.

Collaborate with HR on hiring, partner with management to plan headcount, and drive product requirements and customer success initiatives while maintaining a customer-centric, ethically grounded approach.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• Several years' experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies.
• Self-motivated and able to persuade direct reports and others outside the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization.

Responsibilities

• Uphold F5's Business Code of Ethics and report violations.
• Lead SE team: performance evaluations, PTO approvals, assignments, and training.
• Define core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers in the SE Team.
• Plan headcounts quarterly and yearly to scale the SE org.
• Manage candidate recruitment with HR.
• Foster organizational effectiveness and teamwork across the department.
• Develop SE partner plans with PS, support, Marketing, PM, etc.
• Drive strategic planning to meet/exceed objectives and customer requirements.
• Ensure customer focus and communicate market trends to PM/PD.
