Job summary

F5 seeks a Solutions Engineering Team Manager to lead the technical SE organization within the F5 Tech vertical. You will set objectives, drive strategy, and coordinate with sales and product to deliver compelling technical value for customers, in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree or equivalent work experience.
• Several years’ experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to articulate complex technologies.
• Self-motivated with ability to influence direct reports and others.
• Proven ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Hold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report violations.
• Manage SE team: evaluations, PTO, assignments, training, and performance plans.
• Define core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers for the SE Team.
• Plan headcounts quarterly and yearly to scale the SE organization.
• Manage candidate recruitments with HR.
• Develop and maintain SE partner plan and strategy.
• Drive Product Requirements and Business Units.
• Identify market trends and communicate to PM/PD.
• Ensure customer success and escalate when needed.
• Present F5 strategy, solution messaging and roadmap.
• Provide feasibility analysis for sales efforts.
