Job summary

F5 seeks a Solutions Engineering Team Lead within the F5 Tech vertical to drive technical sales, set objectives, and develop the SE team. You will delegate work, guide staff, and ensure the organization scales to meet company goals.

The role covers recruiting with HR, performance management, strategic planning, and collaboration with product and PM teams to ensure customer success and market alignment. This remote, full-time position offers an attractive base salary.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience.
• A number of years' experience managing technical SEs in a management role.
• Thorough understanding of networking technologies and applications delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies.
• Self-motivated and have the ability to persuade direct reports and others outside the organization.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the Business Code of Ethics and report violations.
• Manage the SE team: performance evaluations, PTO, assignments, training, guidance, disciplinary actions, interviewing.
• Define core FY objectives, strategy and priorities for Engineers in the SE Team.
• Plan headcounts quarterly and yearly to ensure scalability.
• Manage candidate recruitment in collaboration with HR.
• Develop and organize SE organization to meet/exceed goals (technical and professional development).
• Develop and maintain an effective SE partner plan (PS, support, Marketing, PM).
• Scale SE organization to meet objectives and develop retention/compensation plans.
• Ensure SE is customer focused and communicates market trends to PM/PD.
• Drive customer/product feedback and ensure customer success.
