Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc is seeking a Solutions Engineer for the SLED segment. This role is remote-based but requires residence in the Denver, CO metro area with regular travel to customer sites across the region.

You will partner with an Account Executive to co-own the territory, acting as a trusted technical advisor across networking, security, data center, and collaboration. Strong presentation skills and CCNP Enterprise are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a pre-sales Solutions Engineer or similar technical, customer-facing role.
• CCNP Enterprise or equivalent; certification within 12 months if not held.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies: Networking, Security/Firewalls, Data Center Switching, Observability, and Collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/IT or 4 years of documented equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent presentation skills and travel to customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Territory co-ownership with Account Executive to grow SLED accounts.
• Technical leadership across Networking, Security, Data Center, Observability, and Collaboration.
• Lead discovery sessions, technical presentations, demos, and PoCs to move opportunities forward.
• Use AI-driven tools to streamline discovery and demo-building processes.
• Engage with stakeholders at multiple levels from IT staff to CIOs and agency directors.
