Job summary

Alkira in the United States is seeking a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales (West) to lead the technical side of deals from first conversation through POC to close. You will join an experienced Sales Engineering team and partner with Account Managers on strategy.

This remote role requires you to reside in the Pacific, Mountain or Central time zones. Expect travel about 25% and frequent collaboration with Product Management to influence roadmap.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales engineering role
• Strong networking fundamentals are essential
• Experience with routing protocols and SD‑WAN concepts
• Ability to demo to executives and technical buyers
• Willingness to travel ~25%

Responsibilities

• Present and demo the Alkira platform to technical decision makers
• Articulate Alkira value proposition and market context
• Collaborate with Account Managers on customer requirements
• Scope, run and win Proofs of Concept end to end
• Assist with design and deployment based on best practices
• Provide feedback to Product Management from customers
• Follow up on feature requests with the wider team
• Support top opportunities with senior SE backing
