Job summary

Alkira, a Lumen Connect® company, is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales for the Midwest. This remote US role involves leading technical engagements in enterprise deals, partnering with Account Managers, and guiding PoCs from inception through close.

You will influence product direction by feeding customer feedback and participating in roadmap discussions, while delivering compelling technical demonstrations to executives and engineers alike.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales engineering role.
• Strong networking fundamentals and routing expertise.
• Experience with SD-WAN, network virtualization, and overlay technologies.
• Ability to present to customers and respond to RFPs/RFIs.
• Willingness to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Present and demo the Alkira platform to technical decision makers, from engineer to CIO.
• Articulate Alkira value proposition and understand market, industry, and competition.
• Partner with Account Managers to capture customer requirements and assist with technical asks.
• Scope, run and win Proof of Concepts end to end.
• Assist customers with design and deployment following best practices.
• Provide feedback to Product Management from the customer lens.
• Track and drive customer feature requests to implementation.
